Names and stereo links are available from all
Qu system dSNAKE ports:
dSNAKE port – If it is not being used for
digital snake connection to a remote rack.
AR2412 Monitor port,
AB168 Expander port
The ME-U hub interfaces audio from a digital
network to multiple ME-1 mixers. Inputs can
be sourced from dSNAKE, ACE, Dante or
MADI.
Input Option card –Availability of remote
names and links depends on the option card
fitted and mixer connected:
ME-D – For connection to Qu dSNAKE.
ACE –The ME-U hub can get names and
stereo links from GLD or iLive via ACE only if
a second Cat5 cable links its Network port to
the mixer Network port.
Note
If you link the network make sure the
ME-U hub and mixer have compatible IP
addresses.
Dante option fitted to GLD or iLive –
The ME-U hub can get names and stereo
links from the mixer if a second Cat5 cable
links its Network port to the mixer Network
port.
Dante from third party source – Audio
only.
MADI option fitted to GLD or iLive –
The ME-U hub can get names and stereo
links from the mixer if a Cat5 cable links its
Network port to the mixer Network port.
MADI from third party source – Audio
only.
Note
ME-U supports 48kHz MADI only.
Local at ME-U
Names and stereo linking can be
assigned locally at the hub to feed all
connected ME-1 mixers.
Other Sources
ME-1 can be connected directly to:
Aviom
®
A-Net 16 – Any third party
system providing an Aviom
®
output (16
channels) with stereo link capability. Names
are not available.
Note
Power over the Cat5 cable (PoE) is not
available if you are connecting via an Aviom
®
hub. Use the power unit provided with the
ME-1 mixer.
