Set the machine as illustrated.
The maximum zigzag stitch width for zigzag stitching is "5";
however, the width can be reduced on any patterns. The
width increases as you move zigzag dial from "0" - "5".
The density of zigzag stitches increase as the setting of
stitch length dial approaches "0".
Neat zigzag stitches are usually achieved at "2.5" or below (2)
Closed up zigzag stitches (close together) are referred to as
a satin stitch.
Set machine to desired width and length for zigzag stitch.
Position applique on garment.
Stitch along design lines using satin stitch to cover raw
edges of applique.
