Interior lighting in the front
1 X Left front reading lamp on/off
2 ò Rear interior lighting on/off
3 ¡ Automatic control on/off

Automatic control
X Activating: Press switch ¡ .
The interior lighting comes on in darkness,
when you:
R unlock the vehicle
R remove the SmartKey from the starter
switch
R open a door
R open the tailgate (wagon)
X Deactivating: Press switch ¡ .
The interior lighting goes out after a preset
time (
Y page 155).
i If a door remains open, the interior lamps
go out automatically after approximately
5 minutes when the SmartKey is removed
or in starter switch position
0.
Manual control
! An interior lamp switched on manually
does not go out automatically.
Leaving an interior lamp switch in the ON
position for extended periods of time with
the engine turned off could result in a
discharged battery.
X Switching on/off front interior

Ambient lighting
The brightness of the ambient lighting 7 is
adjusted via the “Control
system” (

Interior lighting in the rear
