What to do before use
•
Unpack the appliance, remove all packaging materials from it.
•
Inspect the appliance carefully and make sure it is intact and not damaged. You may only use the appliance if
it is perfectly intact and without any damages.
Adjusting the measurement unit
•
Before you start weighing, adjust the required measurement unit system with the help of the measurement
unit selection button (kg, lb, st:lb)
•
A few seconds after setting the measurement unit, the appliance will automatically switch off. Hence the
measurement unit will be stored in the memory of the appliance.
How to use the scale
1. Put the appliance onto a smooth, hard, non-slippery, horizontal surface then softly apply pressure to the
weighing surface with your foot. Remove the foot when the appliance has switched on and wait for the
display to show zero.
2. The display will show zero value. Now the appliance is ready for weighing.
3. Stand on the scale carefully, with both feet, distributing your weight evenly on both soles. Do not move
during weighing. Weighing will last for a few seconds. After finishing weighing, the measured value will
flash a few times. In the case of overloading, the display of the scale will show the text “Err”. In this case,
step off the appliance immediately as overloading may cause damage.
4. When finished, alight the appliance, after which it will shortly switch off automatically.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF THE APPLIANCE
Attention!
Never dip the appliance into water or put it under flowing water when cleaning the appliance.
•
You may wipe the external casing elements and glass weighing surface of the appliance by using a soft,
lightly damp wet cloth that is not fibrous. After cleaning, wipe over the casing with a dry cloth as well. Be
very careful that neither humidity nor any kind of solid particle may get into the appliance during cleaning.
•
When cleaning the appliance, never use solvent (acetone, benzole, petrol, alcohol, etc.) as these may solve
the casing material, or the internal parts of the appliance if they get into. Do not use cleaning agents with
coarse or grinding effect.
•
If you do not wish to use the appliance for a while, put it in a plastic bag and store it in a dry, dust-free, frost-
free place.
