Must not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid! If humidity gets into the appliance, it can cause
defects, so do not use it in the bathroom or any other room where there is high humidity.
•
Attention! Should the appliance, despite your caution, fall into water or make contact with humidity in any
other way, please take it to the authorised service station and have it checked by an expert before re-using it!
We have to call your attention to the fact that if the product becomes defective due to environmental effects
like this, it will be considered as improper handling, and the manufacturer’s warranty will lapse!

If you do not use the appliance for a longer period of time (more than 1 month) then please remove the
batteries from the battery holder. If you do not do this, corrosive chemicals may escape from the batteries
and damage the appliance.

The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from excessive use, inappropriate handling, inadequate
maintenance, failure to follow guidance in the instruction manual or wear and tear from regular use. In
addition, the manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from any part of the appliance being broken or
cracked.
•
Warning! Disassembling the appliance, opening the casing or attempting to repair it at home are forbidden
- non compliance with this instruction might result in serious accidents. The inside of the appliance does not
contain any parts that can be repaired at home or used for any other purpose. Never use the appliance with
damaged power cable or connector, if operation is erratic or if it was dropped and is otherwise damaged. If
the appliance has become faulty for any reason or moisture has got inside the casing, take it to an authorised
service engineer for checking or repair. Only skilled experts are authorised to repair the appliance. The
manufacturer is not liable for damages if home repair has been attempted or the instructions in the operating
manual have not been complied with.

Do not use the appliance near to appliances emitting electromagnetic waves (e.g. mobile phones or
microwave ovens). They can disturb the appliance resulting in faulty measurement and incorrect values.
•
If there is no display after switching on, check the batteries are correctly inserted and making good contact
with the battery holder connectors.
•
This appliance was created for household use. It should not be used in industrial conditions, plants, or
doctors’ surgeries. It may not be used for certified weighing. It is not suitable for commercial weighing, it is
only for personal use.
Attention! It is prohibited to stand on this appliance with wet feet, due to risk of slipping
and accident.

To use the appliance correctly and effectively, place it on a smooth, horizontal surface with hard covering.
Uneven, soft surfaces cause inaccuracy in the weighing process.
•
The appliance can weigh up to 150 kg (330lb). Never weight MORE than this. A weight exceeding this will
cause damage. Manufacturer’s guarantee will not cover damages due to overloading.
•
Be careful to avoid vibration, impact and dropping of the appliance. Do not jump on it or shake it.
•
Take care when stepping onto the appliance. Do not stand at its edge as you may slip down easily.
