Using the appliance

Warning!
The barbecue grill is a thermo-electric device which develops high temperatures during operation.
These may ignite flammable materials near to it, or can cause burn injuries when touched during
operation. To prevent fire and serious accidents, remove all flammable materials from the vicinity of
the appliance before starting to use it. Also wear heat insulating protective gloves during the use of
the barbecue grill. Before starting to operate the grill, warn users of other nearby appliances of the
potential hazards.

• Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

• Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only

perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

• After checking the appliance and accessories, clean the barbecue grill components with a slightly damp cloth.

After cleaning, let the device completely dry out.

Before use

1. You can use the appliance, without its support legs, on a table. In this case put a heat-resistant plate under the

appliance and continue assembling.

2. After cleaning, assemble the support legs first, then mount the stand shelf by using the screws, washers and

wing nuts. Ensure that the wing nuts are tight and stabilise the stand parts.

3. After positioning the stand correctly, slip it onto the seats formed on the bottom of the covering elements.

Ensure a safe, wiggle-free connection of the stand and barbecue grill.

4. Insert the grill tub and heating unit into the seat prepared into the upper part of covering element. Then

mount the grill grid into the grooves at the longitudinal sides of the cover. (Two kinds of heights can be set,
depending on where the grooves are into which the grid is being inserted.)

5. To operate the barbecue grill, select a location where the floor (or ground) provides a horizontal, wiggle-free

position. Keep away any flammable material from the vicinity of the device and keep a distance of at least 15
cm between any of the sides of the grill and the walls! When installing the device, comply in all cases with the
contents of the section „Important Safety Instructions” to prevent fire and hazardous situations.

Using of appliance

1. Fill the grill tank with cold tap water up to the maximum mark on its internal wall. When filling up with

water, take particular care not to allow water droplets to get onto the heating element. During operation,
pay attention to the water level and don’t allow it to lower significantly. If the grill operates with a very low
level of water, your device can be damaged or overheat. If you refill the grill tank during use, you must always
unplug the power supply cable from the wall socket or extension. During refilling, you must always prevent
water from getting onto the hot heating element.

2. When refilling is complete, plug the device into the power supply then switch it on with the main switch.

Operating status is indicated by a red light.

3. When the device is first used, the new grill may emit a slight odour, which soon dissipates. After this, the

barbecue grill is ready to use. The heating element heats up to cooking temperature 6 to 8 minutes after
connection to the power supply.

4. Put the food to be grilled, directly onto the grill grid. Don’t put the food on plates, trays, alu-foils or other

objects.
