• Do not connect the barbecue grill to a power supply unless completely assembled. Do not plug the supply
cable of the heating unit into the mains electricity supply when it is removed from the grill bath.
• Carefully check the appliance to ensure it is complete and undamaged. You should only use the appliance if it
is complete and has not suffered any damage.
• Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.
• Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around
the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance with the mains cable because
the cable can break or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised
service engineer. The appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.
• Warning! Keep the supply cable away from the hot parts of the appliance during operation.
• The barbecue grill must only be used on a stable, flat surface. Ensure that it cannot be overturned on its
operating surface. Additionally prevent it being dropped into water or any other liquid. If, during operation,
the heating unit is accidentally dropped into liquid, (or if humidity penetrates the outer cover), never just
snatch it out. Instead, first unplug it, then lift the heating unit out of the liquid. Finally send the appliance to
an authorized service agent to have it checked or repaired.
• Don’t put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.
• Never use the grill in an area where there is inadequate space between the grill and the ceiling. Ensure free air
flow around the device during use. Do not place heat reflecting aluminium or other metal sheets around the
product, as these prevent proper ventilation during use. When locating the barbecue grill, keep it a distance of
at least 15 cm from walls.
• Never run the barbecue oven idle, without having the grill tank filled with cold tap water up to the maximum
mark on its internal wall. Do not use the device without water in the grill tank to prevent overheating. During
use, take particular care to fill the grill tank with hot water. Be careful to prevent the barbecue grill from being
overturned during operation to avoid burning injuries caused by hot water spilling out.
• Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.
• Please avoid using the appliance in any place where it would be subjected to high temperatures, low
temperatures, physical shocks or vibration. The appliance is designed to be operated and stored in a situation
where temperatures are between +5° and +40° Celsius. Do not use the appliance in a wet or humid
environment.
Warning: Do not use charcoal or flammable liquids with this device.
During operation, accessible surfaces of the appliance may become very hot. Do not touch
these surfaces during use, or during the cooling down period after use. even accidental
contact with hot surfaces can cause burning injuries.
• Do not touch the appliance with moist hands. Plug the connector of the appliance into the mains with dry
hands only, and check that the casing, power cord and connector of the appliance as well as the mains socket
are dry. Should any moisture get inside the casing of the appliance stop using it immediately and take it to a
specialized service for checking or repair.
• Only operate the barbecue grill on a stable, flat surface to prevent it from being overturned. Take particular
care over the horizontal position of its stand. A good solution is to place tiles under the stand legs to adjust the
horizontal position. Even better is to use a kitchen floor which has been concreted.
• Modifying or adding an extra length to the power cable of the appliance is forbidden!
Should the cable of the appliance turn out to be too short, it may be extended only by using a commercially
available standard extension cable equipped with protective earth contact, and the extension cable must
have an electrical rating of at least 16 A (cables with lower electrical rating could heat up during use). If
other electric appliances have to be operated simultaneously with the same extension cable, their current
consumptions must be added up to determine the electrical rating requirement of the extension cable. If an
extension cable is used, both the mains socket and the extension cable must have protective earth. When an
extension cable is used, special care must be taken to avoid tripping over it.
• You must not disassemble the appliance, remove its cover or to try to repair it. Ignoring this advice could cause
a serious accident. There are no parts in the appliance that can be repaired at home or used for any other
purpose. Never operate the appliance with a damaged mains cable or connector. Do not use the appliance if
it fails to work normally or if it has been dropped or damaged. If the appliance becomes faulty for any reason
or if any moisture is allowed inside, take it to an authorised service engineer for checking and repair. Only
service engineers who have been trained and approved should repair the appliance. The manufacturer cannot
take any responsibility for unauthorised repairs or for any circumstances resulting from not following the
instructions.
Under no circumstances use the electric barbecue grill with a program switch or timer etc.
which might automatically switch on the appliance!
Please respect the environment when the appliance reaches the end of its life. Electrical products
must not be disposed of with other residential waste because they can damage the natural world and
may be hazardous to human health. You should dispose of the appliance at an appropriate recycling
site or by using a collection service that specialises in electrical appliances.
