Using the appliance
1. Before you begin to use the grinder, put it on a stable, flat surface. Make sure that nothing blocks the
ventilation of the appliance during use. So, do not put anything under the appliance that could hinder the
ventilation (table cloth, paper, etc).
2. Select the bowl attachment most suitable for the required operation. The smaller bowl of 310ml capacity
has a two-fold blade unit. This attachment is designed primarily for chopping purposes and is suitable for
grinding coffee, almonds, peanuts, nuts, biscuits and sugar. You can also chop and mix small amounts of
juicy vegetables and fruit, and even add liquid. The bigger attachment has a bowl of 550ml capacity and a
four-fold mixing blade-unit. This attachment should be used to blend and mix foods with liquid content such
as juicy fruits (that must have been carefully pitted), vegetables, boiled meats (that must be non-string and
carefully boned); again, you can add liquid if required. Warning: Do not use the 550ml attachment and its
four-fold blade for grinding coffee, nuts or any other hard food.
3. After selecting the attachment most suitable for the operation to be performed, unscrew the transparent lid
from the blade base (anti-clockwise direction), and put the food to be ground or mixed into the attachment.
Fruit or vegetables should be chopped into small pieces and placed in the mixer lid. If you wish to add liquid
(water or milk), then pour this in after the solid food. When all food and liquid has been added, replace the
blade base and tighten it firmly. Ensure that the attachment is placed correctly for a liquid-tight sealing.
Warning! The attachments should only be filled to 2/3 of their total capacity (food and
liquid combined). This means that the maximum amount of food and liquid that can be
put in the smaller attachment is 200ml, and the maximum amount of food and liquid
that can be put in the larger attachment is 360ml.
4. Place the attachment filled with food onto the base unit, so that the three positioning shoulders on the edge
of the attachment lid fit into the slots in the base. Pressing the attachment down lightly, turn it in a clockwise
direction until it stops. Plug the appliance into the mains electricity supply; the red light on the base unit
(8) illuminates. Hold the base of the unit with one hand to steady it, and turn it on by pressing the ON/OFF
push button (7); the unit then starts to work and the blue power indicator light (9) illuminates. Whilst the
appliance is working, keep holding the base with one hand; use your other hand to hold the attachment
to ensure that its fitting onto the base does not loosen. The appliance’s significant motor power and high
rotational blade speed mean that the food is usually mixed or ground in less than 30 seconds of continuous
operation. You should not use the appliance continuously for more than 60 seconds
5. If you wish to finish the use of the unit, turn off the unit and de-energize it in all cases by pulling out the cord
plug. The release of the bowl attachment may be initiated only after it by turning it in the opposite direction
as during assembly - before this operation always wait until the grinder or mixing blade completely stops.
After removing the bowl turn it around and remove the blade base from it and the pour out the processed
grinds or shake into a previously prepared dish.
You may wish to contact the retailer or the manufacturer if you are unable to find convenient local
recycling facilities as they have some legal responsibilities for recycling electrical products.
Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else, you must give them
this instruction manual, too!
