ASSEMBLY
IMPORTANT: This unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine.
Be certain to service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the
Operation section before starting or running your machine.
NOTE: Reference to right and left hand side of the Lawn Mower is
observed from the operating position.
OPENING CARTON
1.
Cut each corner of the carton vertically from top to bottom.
2.
Remove all loose parts.
3.
Remove loose packing material.
REMOVING UNIT FROM CARTON
1.
Lift unit from the rear to detach it from underlying carton material
and roll unit out of carton.
2.
Check carton thoroughly for any other loose parts.

ASSEMBLY
Attaching The Handle
1.
Remove any packing material which may be between upper and
lower handles.
A.
Pull up and back on upper handle as shown in Figure 1.
Make certain the lower handle is seated securely into the
handle mounting brackets. Do not crimp cables while lifting
the handle up.
B.
Tighten star knobs to secure upper handle to lower handle.
Make sure that each carriage bolt is seated properly in the
handle.
2.
Locate the hairpin clip on the weld pin on each side of lower
handle.
A.
Remove hairpin clip from this hole. Using a pair of pliers,
insert hairpin clip into the hole on pin closest to the bracket.
See Figure 2. Repeat on other side.
B.
Insert a carriage bolt from the manual bag into the upper
hole on the handle mounting bracket. Secure with one plastic
wing nut, also included in the manual bag. Repeat on other
side with remaining hardware.
NOTE: Make certain the drive cable is routed around the outside and
above the lower handle so it does not interfere with attaching the grass
bag. The chute door has been designed to move the starter rope out of
the way of the bag when the chute door is opened.
