Tips on Editing Tapes
The following functions are convenient for editing your
own tapes.
Fading out after a desired
duration - Time Fade
You can have the play fade out at the end by designating
the play duration.
To set time fade
1 Press TIME FADE during stop and pause..
“FADE” is displayed and blinks in the window.
2 Set the desired play duration using the ◄◄/
►► buttons.
Each time you press 1« ◄◄/►>■ ►W, the display
changes to give you the following duration.

To set the second, keep
pressed.
The second can be set by 10 seconds shift.

3 Press TIME FADE after setting the time.
The time display blinks quickly and disappears.

Play starts to fade out five seconds before the time set,
and the unit enters the pause mode.
To cancel time fade
• Keep ◄◄/►► on the unit pressed.
• Press ◄◄/►► on the remote commander.
• Press TIME FADE.
Fading in/Fading out
You can have the play fade in and fade out for 5
seconds, (for CDP-C305 only)
To end the play fading out
Press FADER when you want to start fading out.

Timer Activated Playing
(for CDP-C301M only)
This function can be operated in the continuous play
mode.

Insert a disc in the compartment.

Set the timer.

Set TIMER to PLAY.
Keep the POWER switch depressed on the CD player
When the timer is set, the power of the player will be cut
off. At the time set, the CD player will be switched on and
play will start.
When the timer-activated play ends
Be sure to set TIMER to OFF. If the TIMER switch is left
at PLAY, the unit will automatically start playing the next
time the power is turned on.
