Removing the System Board
Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 1. 6.
Remove the left side-panel (see “Removing the Left Side-Panel” on page 2. 15).
Remove the PCI shroud (see “Removing the PCI Shroud“ on page 3. 22).
Remove any add-on cards on the system board (see “Removing PCI and PCI 4.
Express Cards” on page 31).
Remove the memory modules (see “Removing Memory Module(s)” on 5.
page 26).
Remove the liquid-cooling assembly (see “Removing the Liquid-Cooling 6.
Assembly” on page 68).
Remove the processor (see “Removing the Processor” on page 7. 72).
Disconnect all cables from the system board. Note the routing of all cables 8.
as you remove them so that you can re-route them correctly after installing
the new system board.
Remove the two screws that secure the system-board tray to the chassis. 9.
Carefully remove the system-board tray from the chassis. 10.
NOTE: Do not remove the system board from the system-board tray. The
system-board tray is shipped together with the replacement system
board.
