Be sure to follow these directions carefully. If the mixer is assembled incorrectly, or if an o-ring is
not correctly placed in the o-ring groove, the mixer will leak.
1. Use the hex key provided (or any 3/16” hex key) to remove the four screws from the top of the
mixer.
2. Remove the mixer top and turn it upside down to remove the o-ring. If the o-ring does not easily
dislodge, use your fingers to remove it.
3. Refer to Figure 2 for re-assembling the mixer. Make sure that the magnetic stir bar lies flat and that
the o-ring groove in either the mixer body or the mixer extender barrel faces up.
4. Place an o-ring in each o-ring groove. If you are using only the mixer body (750 µl), then only one
o-ring is required. If either the standard mixer barrel or the barrel extender is used, then two
o-rings are required.
