Singulating Meter Charts
Singulating meter planting rate is determined by:
• crop and seed variant
• meter wheel selection, and
• meter drive configuration
There are no other adjustments.
The rates indicated in the charts are approximate val-
ues. To assure the most accurate seeding rate it is rec-
ommended that the drill be calibrated for the desired
seed at the time of planting.
Note: 20P series openers use a black seed wheels.
25P series openers use a green seed wheel.
Reading a Singulated Rate Chart
1. Consult the chart for your crop, meter wheel/cell
count, and row spacing. Some charts have two
pages.
2. Note whether talc only, or talc and graphite are
required. See “Seed Lubricants” on page 2 for
seed lubricant information.
3. Find the columns for your row spacing.
4. Find the desired seed population range (or seed
spacing).
5. Note the maximum ground speed for that popula-
tion.
6. The Range sprockets are at the top of the columns
for the row spacing.
7. The Transmission sprockets are in the table rows,
found to the left of the Population.
