Getting Started
with GuestGuard
Thank you for choosing DYMO GuestGuard as your visitor management solution. With
GuestGuard, you can quickly and easily create badges for and track your visitors.
What You Will Need
GuestGuard requires the following items be previously installed on your system:
•
DYMO LabelWriter 330 Turbo label printer
•
DYMO Label Software version 6.0 or later
•
DYMO Name Badge Labels (11356) or Shipping labels (99014)
•
Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP Operating System
•
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later
•
ActiveX controls enabled
•
Pop-up blockers disabled
When your registration was completed, you received an email from DYMO Corporation containing
the GuestGuard login information for your initial user account.
To get started with GuestGuard, you will need:
•
The GuestGuard URL assigned to your company
•
Initial User ID
•
Initial User Password
You also received several GuestGuard Badge template files: Visitor.lwl, Supplier.lwl,
Contractor.lwl, and Subcontractor.lwl.
To use the GuestGuard templates

Create a folder structure on your hard drive as follows: C:\GuestGuard

Copy the GuestGuard badge template files to the C:\GuestGuard folder.
Starting GuestGuard the First Time
The first time you log in to the GuestGuard application, you will be guided through the GuestGuard
Installation wizard. The installation wizard will not install any new software on your computer. The
installation wizard does the following:
•
Detects the number and type of DYMO LabelWriter printers available on your computer.
•
Detects the presence of and version of the DYMO Label Software installed on your computer.
•
Determines that the GuestGuard badge templates are available to the application.
•
Gathers some basic information about your company and contact person.
•
Gives you the opportunity to customize some of the GuestGuard application screens.
Once you have completed the wizard, you will be ready to start using the GuestGuard application.
