4 Deaerating the high-pressure pump
Use the syringe to aspirate eluent until there are no more air
bubbles in the eluent.
5 Setting the contact pressure of the peristaltic pump
￭ Set the contact pressure of the peristaltic pump (see "Setting the
contact pressure correctly", page 22).
6 Rinsing the instrument without columns
￭ Rinse the instrument (without columns) with eluent for 5 minutes.
