4) Connect the vacuum generating system inside the vacuum package enclosure to an
appropriate battery: Make sure the battery satisfies the Power Requirements listed in
SPECIFICATIONS.
3
Identify the battery connection wiring that protrudes from the side of the
enclosure (adjacent to power switch), terminating in a red electrical connector. Wire the free
end of the connector to your battery, making sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-)
markings on the connector to the corresponding battery terminals.
5) Connect the vacuum line from the lifter to the vacuum package: Make certain the vacuum
line is routed so that it does not become tangled, kinked, pinched or cut while operating the
lifter or hoisting equipment. Then connect the line by pushing the male and female ends of
the quick connectors together until they lock. Now the lifter is operational.
6) Perform Operational and Load Tests for the lifter as directed in MAINTENANCE: T

If the battery is
not connected to an automatic charging system (e.g., an alternator), make sure the battery also has sufficient
capacity to power the lifter for the desired period of use. A minimum capacity of 26 amp-hours is recommended.
