Safety Information/Warning
2.1 Safety Information
Practical safety features have been incorporated into the design and manufacture of the
Thrush Hot-Pak. If questions are not answered by this manual, or if specific installation,
operation, and/or maintenance procedures are not clearly understood, contact your
Thrush representative before proceeding. Personnel qualified for use with steam
equipment must, at all times, observe all safety regulations while performing
maintenance or repairs.
All installation, operation, and maintenance procedures should be performed by
experienced, trained, personnel. The Hot-Pak utilizes steam, boiler water, or high
temperature water under pressure as well as electricity. The potential exists for severe
personal injury or death if proper procedures are not followed.
Because this is an automatic valve, hot (potentially scalding) water could be
released without warning.
Water will be very hot, potentially scalding, causing serious bodily injury.
With any piece of equipment utilizing steam, boiler water, high temperature water
under pressure, and electricity, there is a potential for severe personal injury or
death if proper installation, operation and maintenance procedures are not
followed.
There is a potential for severe personal injury or death if proper rigging
procedures are not followed. Rigging should be done with proper
equipment and qualified personnel.
