4– Open up S&S® Freedom® Performance Tuner and click on the Select Vehicle tab on the bottom of the page. The tabs on the left side of the
screen will now be illuminated.
5– Connect your interface cable and interface cable adapter to your PC and to the motorcycle you are performing the TPS calibration on. The
switch on the interface cable adapter needs to be positioned toward the vehicle plug as illustrated in Picture 15.
6– Turn the on/off switch on the handlebar to the Off position and the key ignition switch to the On position.
7– Click on the TPS Calibration tab on the left side of the screen as illustrated in Picture 16.
8– Turn the on/off switch on the handlebar to the On position. You will hear the fuel pump cycle on the motorcycle. The TPS calibration page in
S&S Freedom Performance Tuner will display the actual oil temperature and air temperature of the motorcycle.
9– Start the motorcycle that you are performing the TPS calibration on. After 30 seconds of engine idle time, connect the lambda sensor red lead
to the battery positive(+) terminal and black lead to the negative(-) terminal. Connect the lambda sensor cable to your volt meter and turn
switch to DC voltage.
10– With the motorcycle idling and the fast idle lever on the handle bar in the off or closed throttle position, watch your S&S Freedom Performance
Tuner screen and warm the motorcycle engine until oil temperature reaches 90 degrees Celsius.
