TROUBLESHOOTING (DIAGNOSTIC LAMP)
The engine controller of this generator diagnoses problems
that arise from the engine control system and the engine
itself. Press the diagnostic button (Figure 65) on the
diagnostic panel to determine if an engine malfunction has
occurred.

METHOD OF OPERATION
Normally, the diagnostic lamp will be 1. dimly lit when
the MPEC Control Switch is placed in the MANUAL
position.
If engine trouble occurs, the diagnostic lamp will be 2.
brightly lit as long as the control switch is left in the
manual position.
The diagnostic lamp will indicate that an engine 3.
malfunction has occurred.
NOTICE
For a complete understanding of error codes and
troubleshooting procedures, refer to the enclosed
engine instruction manual.
NOTICE
If the engine is cranked while the diagnostic switch is in
the “ON” position, the engine will not be stopped even if
the starter switch is turned to the “OFF” position. In such
case, turn the diagnostic switch to the “OFF” position.
