The Multiquip GA9.7HE generator is designed as a portable
dual purpose power source for 60 Hz (single phase) lighting
facilities, power tools, submersible pumps and other
industrial and construction machinery.
The generator is mounted on rubber vibration isolators
that have a steel base backplate which is attached to the
protective steel pipe carrying frame. The protective carrying
frame is made of steel tubing and fully wraps around the
generator to protect against damage. See Figures 3, and
4 for the basic controls and indicators for the GAC9.7HE
generator.
This portable generator is supplied with a electrical control
box. To reduce vibration caused by the engine, the control
box is also placed on rubber isolators.
Control Box
The control box is provided with the following:
„ 120/240V twist-lock output receptacle (single phase).
„ 240V twist-lock receptacle (single phase).
„ 120V GFCI single phase duplex output receptacles.
„ 35 Amp Main Circuit Breaker (2-pole)
„ Two 20 Amp GFCI Circuit Breakers (1-pole)
„ 30 Amp Circuit Breaker (1-pole)
„ 20 Amp Circuit Breaker (2-pole)
„ 30 Amp Circuit Breaker (2-pole)
„ AC Voltmeter
„ Idle Control Switch
„ Operation Switch
„ Start Switch

Before connecting this generator to any building’s
electrical system, a licensed electrician must install an
isolation (transfer) switch.
Serious injury or death may result without this transfer
switch.
