MVH-200GH — OPERATION
Traveling:
1. Grasp the compactor's hand grip and move the throttle lever
(Figure 17) quickly to the fast position. The compactor will not
operate correctly until the engine speed is high enough to
engage the centrifigal clutch (approximately 2300 RPMs)
Always move the throttle lever
quickly without hesitation,
because increasing the engine
speed slowly causes the clutch to
slip.

NOTE
2. To make the compactor travel forwards, push the travel lever
forward (Figure 18). To make the compactor travel backward,
pull the travel lever back (Figure 18).
To Turn The Compactor:
1. Move the travel lever to the NEUTRAL position.
2. Hold the hand grip firmly and turn the compactor in the desired
direction. DO NOT swing compactor while gripping the travel
lever.
5. Slowly walk behind the compactor and be on the lookout for
any large objects or foreign matter that might cause damage
to the compactor or bodily injury.
6. If travel lever is placed in the neutral position, the machine will
vibrate in place.
Whenever the compactor's vibra-
tion becomes weak or lost during
normal operation regardless of
operation hours, check the V-belt
and clutch immediately.
