Ensure that the installation of this product does not interfere with the
proper operation of the motorcycle before riding.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that there is
adequate clearance between the Tech-Connect and any painted
surfaces. Küryakyn is not responsible for any damage due to
inadequate clearance.
Be aware of any cables/wires that could potentially be pinched
or crushed while using this product.
STEP 2 Determine the diameter of the bars, 7/8”, 1” or 1-1/4”, that are on the
motorcycle. The Tech-Connect Handlebar Mount includes reducers that
allow it to fit these sizes. Use the thicker set for 7/8” bars, the thinner set
for 1” bars (these reducers are marked with their size on the inside, PIC 2)
and the clamp halves alone for 1-1/4” bars. PIC 1 and PIC 2
Ensure that the supplied anti-seize is applied to all threaded
fasteners before installation; this will make future removal of
the fasteners easier.
STEP 3
Using the correct clamp reducers (if needed-PIC 1), install the clamp to the
desired location on the handlebars with the included #8 Phillips head cap screws
and #8 nylock nuts. PIC 3
STEP 4 Install the Ball Stud to the handlebar mount by inserting the metal shaft through
the hole in the handlebar mount. The hex flats on the metal shaft will line up with
the hex flats in the hole. PIC 4 Secure the Tech-Connect with the included 1/4” flat
washer, then the 1/4” lock washer, then the Acorn nut. PIC 5 Tighten securely.
STEP 5 Place the nylon locking nut over the ball end of the Ball Stud. Install the
Tech-Connect Pouch to the Ball Stud by inserting the ball into the fingers on the
Pouch back plate. PIC 7 Thread the nylon lock nut onto the fingers. Tighten the
lock nut to the desired tension. See Step 9, Page 3 for further information on the
lock nut.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners
(including preassembled) are tightened before operation of the
motorcycle. Küryakyn will not issue a warranty on components lost
due to improper installation. Periodic maintenance may be required.

RESULT IN A POSSIBLE INJURY OR DEATH, WE DO NOT
RECOMMEND REMOVING, REPLACING OR ADJUSTING THE
DEVICE IN THE TECH-CONNECT WHILE RIDING THE
MOTORCYCLE.
USING THE TECH-CONNECT POUCH
Protect the clear window from damage, tools may scratch the window
surface.
STEP 6 There are two different thicknesses of foam padding included with the
Tech-Connect Pouch. The thinner pad will be used with most devices, the thicker
pad with the super thin devices. The thin pad will provide a cushion layer between
the back plastic mount inside the bag and any uncased mobile device.
. NOTE: The foam inserts included fit inside the pouch and can be cut-to-fit to
secure smaller GPS units as well as other small electronics or accessories. PIC 6
