STEP 10
Place the Adapter Ring over the three screws, then the other included Gasket, align it with the
Bracket and begin the three screws in their threads.
Leave the screws loose until all three have been started in
their threads, then tighten them.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS
STEP 11 Refer to FIG1. Snap the Plastic Cone into place in the Black
Cone. Ensure it is secure before continuing with the installa-
tion.
STEP 12 Refer to FIG 1. Place the Filter Element over the Plastic Cone;
secure it with the Mesh Screen and the Outer Trim Ring.
Align the holes in the Mesh, Outer Trim Ring, and Black Cone;
secure the assembly with the five included 1/4”-20 x 1/2” Socket Head Cap Screws.
STEP 13 Double check the tightness of all fasteners, check for hose clearance and check the
throttle for proper operation, making sure it returns properly, before starting bike.

ROTATE THROTTLE AND CHECK THAT IT MOVES FREELY AND
RETURNS TO CLOSED BEFORE STARTING BIKE. FAILURE OF THE
THROTTLE TO RETURN COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL
CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Some high performance air cleaners extend beyond the OEM unit to achieve
smoother air flow and better performance. Riding position may be affected.
It is important to familiarize yourself with the new riding position before
operating the motorcycle.
It is the end user’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners
(including pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle.
Kuryakyn will not provide warranty coverage on products or components
lost or damaged due to improper installation or lack of maintenance. Peri-
odic inspection and maintenance are required on all fasteners.
