STEP 2
Refer to PIC 1
.
Remove the existing air cleaner so that the intake is completely
exposed.
STEP 3 Refer to PIC 1 . Locate the included Gasket with Adhesive; remove the adhesive
backing, align the holes, and apply the Gasket to the intake flange.
STEP 4
Refer to PIC 2. Locate the Carb Support Bracket.
NOTE:
With the Bracket flat against the intake, check for gaps be-
tween the Support Bracket and heads. If there is a gap, push
the carb inward. On Delphi models or if the carb is fully
seated use the included Bracket Shim Washers between the
bracket and heads to take up any gap. Do NOT fully tighten
the breather bolts if a gap is present, damage may occur.
Secure the Bracket to the heads using the included Breather Bolts. Center the
slots in the Bracket over the holes in the intake, then tighten the Breather Bolts.
STEP 5 Refer to PIC 3 and 4. Thread one of the included Straight Hose fittings into the
left-side (rear) of the Aluminum Adapter Ring.
Thread the included 90 Degree Hose Fitting into the right-side (front) of the
Ring; it will face inward.
STEP 6
Refer to PIC 3 and 4. Install the provided Breather Hoses on the Hose Fittings in
the Adapter Ring.
Test fit the assembly on the intake; connect the open ends of the Hoses to the
Breather Bolts installed in
STEP 4 .
NOTE: It may be necessary to trim the Hoses to length to get the
best fit. Make sure that the hoses are not pinched or kinked.
Ensure that the hoses do not interfere with
proper throttle operation before continuing.
Secure the hoses with the included Cable
Ties.
STEP 7 Refer to FIG 1 . Completely disassemble the included Ve-
lociraptor Assembly. Note that it will be reassembled in re-
verse order.
STEP 8 Refer to FIG 1. Locate the Black Cone. Insert the three in-
cluded 1/4”–20 X 1-1/2” Socket Head Cap Screws through the
Black Cone.
Refer to PIC 1. DO NOT place a bolt through the hole at the 10-o’clock position, it is the float
bowl vent-hole.
STEP 9
Align the holes and place one of the included Gaskets over the three mounting screws now pro-
truding from the back of the Black Cone.

Apply Loctite 242 or equivalent thread locker (sold sepa-
rately) to the Breather Bolts. Follow the manufacturer’s rec-
ommendation for proper preparation and application.
A factory service manual may be helpful in performing this
installation. Do not attempt to perform this installation if
you are not confident in your ability to complete all of the
steps in the procedure; consult a trained technician.
Pictures show a Delphi fuel injection throttle body. Installa-
tion procedure on carbureted models will be the same.
