STEP 19

Place a small amount of dielectric grease on the three pin connector and plug it into the included

3-Pin wiring adapter.

STEP 20

Remove the seat to provide proper space, and route the adapter wire to the right

side of the bike. Use the included cable ties to secure the harness out of the way.

Secure all wiring away from any moving parts, pinch points or
extreme heat. Kuryakyn WILL NOT warranty any electrical
component that fails due to pinched, crimped, broken, abraded,

melted or frayed wires.

STEP 21

Locate the male three pin connectors from the hardware kit. Connect the male

connector to one of the female three pin connectors from the wiring adapter. PIC 8

Install the pins on the Accent wire harness (PIC 9) as follows:

NOTE:

Push the wires into the male connector until you feel them lightly click.

Gently pull on each wire after the click to ensure they are locked into

place.

STEP 22

Test mount the left saddlebag to determine how much excess of the 3-Pin wiring

adapter harness you will need reach each Accent light. Once you have determined

the amount of harness needed, use the included cable ties to secure the excess

under the left side cover. Replace the side cover and mount both saddlebags.

Locate the other male three pin connector from the hardware kit and repeat

Step 21 for the wires from the other Accent. Proceed to Step 29.

STEP 23

Cut the two pigtails with the three pin connectors from the supplied wiring adapter

as close to the connection point as possible. PIC 11 The remaining 8-Pin

Connectors and harness will not be used.

STEP 24

Using wire strippers remove a small amount of insulation from the cut ends of the

wires. Insert the exposed end of each wire into an included insulated male spade

connector and crimp the end. PIC 12 make sure that the wire is secure in the

spade.

STEP 25

Re-install the saddlebags. Remove the seat from the motorcycle and locate the
main taillight harness.

STEP 26

On ‘93-’96 models: Place two each of the female T-Tap connectors over the
black, red and blue wires in the OEM main taillight wiring harness; close the con-
nectors ensuring that the tabs are engaged as shown in PIC 13.

NOTE:

If there is a run-turn-brake controller installed, the female T-Taps need to be installed

upstream (in front) of the controller. The installation order must be main harness from

front of bike with the female T-Taps installed, then the controller, finally the taillight

harness.

On CVO Models: Determine the input side of the main harness. This will be the end coming
under the frame from the front of the motorcycle. PIC 14 Place two each of the female T-Tap
connectors over the black, red with yellow stripe and blue wires in the OEM main taillight wiring
harness; close the connectors ensuring that the tabs are engaged as shown in PIC 13.

NOTE:

If there is a run-turn-brake controller installed, the female T-Taps need to be installed

upstream (in front) of the controller. The installation order must be main harness from

front of bike with the female T-Taps installed, then the controller, finally the taillight

harness.
