9. Troubleshooting guide / Error messages
The temperature control system LH46 is provided with a single-stage
refrigerant cycle (1 compressor).
In order to reach a working temperature range of up to –85 °C, the
temperature control system LH85 is provided with a two-stage refrigerant
cycle ( 2 compressors) For this reason there are a few additional warnings
and alarm messages for the LH85 (see page 61).

ALARM
CODE 14
Whenever the microprocessor electronics registers a failure, a complete
shutdown of the temperature system is performed.
The VFD-Info-Display indicates the cause for the alarm in form of a code.
The alarm light "
" illuminates and a continuous signal tone sounds.
CODE 01
Low liquid level alarm in the internal reservoir (LH85)
The temperature system is operated without bath fluid, or the liquid level
is insufficient. Replenish the bath tank with the bath fluid.
Tube breakage has occured (insufficient filling level due to excessive
bath fluid pumped out). Replace the tubing and replenish the bath tank
with the bath fluid.
The float is defect (e. g., because damaged in transit). Repair by
authorized JULABO service personnel.
CODE 02
Defect temperature sensor in refrigeration circuit.
Repair by authorized JULABO service personnel.
CODE 05
Cable of the working temperature sensor interrupted or short-circuited.
CODE 06
Defect of the working or safety temperature sensor.
Working temperature and safety sensors report a temperature
difference of more than 50 K.

Other errors (I

Error in A/D converter.
CODE 13
Sensor in the internal reservoir >RES< is defect
The safety temperature value lies below the working temperature
setpoint. Set the safety temperature to a higher value.
