Draft, CopyDraft, Sans Serif LQ and OCRB will be handled in the
same way like MT50D OCRB. The selected Font in the menu is
choosen. E.g. recognizing the OCRB sequence “ESC(?” leads
automatically to the selected font. Getting OCRA sequence leads
always to OCRA font. Is the setting any NLQ font, the printout will
be performed in OCRA NLQ. This is also valid for LQ quality. It is
recommended only to use LQ OCR due to better legibility.
The implemented character sets correspond to the MT50 sets. Natio-
nal characters form 80
hex
to BF
hex
will match MT50D sets.

Opposite to original MT 50 the signal CTS is not controlled. It is
possible to gain the state “Offline” and “PaperEnd” monitoring the
DTR, RTS and BUSY line, the parameter REMOTE must be set to
ON. Transparent ESC sequences will be ignored. Additionally the
ETX/ACK protocol is implemented. Using ACK/NAK protocol the
data buffer should be set to maximum. The meaning of the ENQ
character can be choosen in the setup menu (Status Request and/or
Delete Function is only valid in ACK/NAK protocol). The function
“Delete = Del>Reset” in menu leads only to a buffer clear. Also the
block end function can be switched either to ETX or to ETX, LF, VT,
FF and CR. Automatic block clear is programmable. Wrong
characters will be substituted by a “?” then.
