Procedure

1. Insert the shock in the jaws of the vice as shown on picture 2

2. Tighten slightly to avoid damaging the shock.

Warning : make sure that the jaws are tighten on a flat surface, and that they don’t damage the rebound knob.

2. Take good note of the current air pressure of your shock (consider the air loss when using the pump) before to deflate it completelly.

3. Unscrew the air chamber (a), while maintening the main cylinder (b) in its position (picture 3 & 4).

DO NOT TRY TO UNSCREW THE CYLINDER. PROCEED BY HANDS. DO NOT USE ANY TOOL.

Take off the air chamber (picture 5).

4. Insert the O’ring(s) through the cylinders to their position (arrow) (pictures 6 & 7).

Warning : the O’rings or the grease must not obstruct the holes on top of the air chamber (picture 8).

5. Close the air chamber, by screwing untill the end, without tightenning hard.

6. Chack if the sticker and the rebound knob are well aligned (picture 9). This is the sign of a perfect tightening torque.

7. Inflate the shock to the pressure previously noticed.

8. Mount it back on the bike.

9. Proceed to the air chamber balance (see the Vip’R owner manual).
