AIR CHAMBER VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Preamble
The Bos Vip’R shock is intented for various kinds of rides from All Mountain to light Enduro. It can be adapted to any bike, and comes
with a specific internal setting for your own bike.
Nevertheless, you may want to adapt its progressivity depending of your riding style or your usual tracks.
If you ride mostly downhill, for example, you may want to increase the SAG of your bike, may be also seeking comfort, thus, you wanna
use more O’rings in the air chamber. It will allow you to use the whole travel without bottoming out.
In the other way, you may want to decrese the SAG to get a more responsive bike, or more efficient while depaling.
As a general rule, by modifying the air chamnber volume you will act on the behaviour of the shock in the second second half of its
travel.
We advise to make stages of two O’rings added or taken off at the same time at the beginning, then be more precise.
Parts & tools :
One « O’ring kit for progressivity setup », containing 5 O’rings.
A bench vice with soft jaws (picture 1).
Warning :
Use exclusively the O’rings provided by BOS. The diameter and the thickness are very specific.
