Read and understand all safety warnings and chipping 1.
guidelines contained in this manual before proceeding.
Connect PTO driveline to tractor as described in Sec. 2.

Adjust three-point top link so the chipper sits level. 3.
Make sure the feed roller bar is in the Stop position. 4.
The controller will flash red until the bar is in Stop. See
Sec. 6 for a table of all flash codes for the controller
light.
Start tractor engine and engage PTO (refer to tractor 5.
owners manual). Increase engine speed to rated
PTO RPM until the controller light on the feed chute
is showing a steady green light.
Engage the hydraulic feed by moving the hydraulic 6.
feed control arm. The control arm has four positions:
Reverse, Forward, Stop, and Reverse.
Feed branches up to five inches in diameter into the 7.
chipper.
Reverse the feed by moving the control arm to reverse 8.
position if the chipper jams. Remove the branch and
rotate it before reinserting it into the chute.
Adjust the speed of the feed roller, if necessary, with 9.
the flow control knob.

The heavy rotor will continue to turn for some time after
the engine or tractor has been shut off. you can tell
that the rotor has stopped when no noise or machine
vibration is present. Inserting a branch into the chipper
chute to contact the blades will slow the rotor and
shorten stopping time.
4.2 SToppING THE CHIppER
Move tractor throttle to SLOW position. 1.
disengage PTO lever and shut off tractor engine. 2.
Allow machine to come to a complete stop. 3.
Move machine to a clear, level area outdoors before
starting. do not operate in the vicinity of bystanders.
Make sure cutting chamber is empty before starting.
Before operating your machine, be sure you read

instructions in this owner’s manual and on your
machine. Failure to follow these instructions can
result in serious injury or property damage.
do not inspect or work on PTO drive area without
first disengaging PTO and shutting off tractor. Allow
all moving parts to come to a complete stop.

operating the machine.
do not wear loose fitting clothing.
The operator should always wear heavy boots, gloves,
pants and a long-sleeved shirt.
Use common sense and practice safety to protect
yourself from branches, sharp objects, and other
harmful objects.
