QUICK USER GUIDE
The IRIScan™ Anywhere scanner can be used without a computer or power supply, anywhere you
want!
Charging
the battery
Before you can use the scanner, you must charge
its battery. To charge the battery:
• Turn on your computer
• Connect the scanner to your computer by
means of the USB cable
It takes approximately 4 hours to fully
charge the battery
• Disconnect the scanner from your computer
How to scan an original?
• If you decide to use an external storage device (SD memory card or
USB flash drive) to store your scans, insert it into the scanner.
• Press the Power button to power on the scanner.
The Power and Status indicators blink.
Wait until the Power indicator goes off.
The Status indicator will stay on steady, indicating that the scanner is
ready.
Do not insert any original into the feeding slot when the Power
indicator is blinking.
• Insert the original into the feeding slot.
The original will be fed through the slot and scanned automatically.
Make sure the original is facing upward and in the correct
orientation.
Use the paper guide to align the original with the left side of
the feeding slot.
The Power indicator blinks while scanning.
When the scanning is complete, the Power and Status indicators
keep blinking momentarily, indicating that the scanner is processing
the image and storing it.
Wait until the indicators stop blinking before inserting the next
original.
• To power off the scanner after scanning, press and hold the Power
button for one second until the indicators go off.
