SYSTEM FUNCTION INSPECTION
Refer to Figures 1-1, 2-1 and 2-2 for the locations of various controls and indicators.
Stand Clear of the work platform while performing the following checks.
Before operating the machine, survey the work area for any hazards.
Check in ALL directions, including above the work platform, for obstructions and electrical conductors.
1. Move the machine, if necessary, to an unobstructed area to allow machine to maximum height.
2. Turn the Ground and Platform Emergency Stop Switches ON by pulling the buttons out.
3. Checking Outrigger Leveling Procedure:
a) Turn Key Switch to Ground.
b) Press the Level button (Outrigger legs should now extend until completely level.)
c) Press the Retract button (Outrigger legs should now retract until fully retracted.)
4. Press the level button. Once level, holds the Push to Enable Button then toggle the Raise/Lower
Switch to raise until the platform is elevated high enough to install safety prop.
5. Visually inspect the scissor assembly for damage or erratic operation. Check for missing or loose
parts.
6. Lower platform by pushing the Push to Enable button and Raise/Lower switch to lower at the
same time. There should be an audible lowering alarm sounding along with a alarm light
illuminated.
7. Check the Chassis Emergency Lowering Valve for proper operation (see Figure 3-1)
a) Open the valve by pulling the handle toward user.
b) Once the platform is fully lowered, close the valve by releasing the handle.
8. Push the Ground Emergency Stop Switch down to the OFF position. All machine functions should
be disabled. Pull out the Ground Emergency Stop Switch to resume.
9. Turn the Key switch to Platform
10. Climb into the platform.
11. Check that the route is clear of personal, obstructions, holes and drop-offs, is level and capable
of supporting the wheel loads.
12. After climbing in to the platform, lower the safety drop bar across the entrance.
13. Select DRIVE Mode by toggling the switch on the front of the joystick box to drive.
14. If the outriggers legs are down press the interlock trigger on the joystick and release. The
outrigger legs should now be retracting. Don’t move or click the joystick until the outriggers are
completely retracted otherwise the function will have to be restart by clicking the interlock
trigger.
15. Verify outriggers are fully retracted and drive motor assembly is manually engaged. The
operator will be able to drive by holding the interlock trigger on the joystick and moving the
