Refer to Fig.3 and follow steps 1 - 5 on initial start-up. For
normal start-up, follow steps 2 and 3.
1. Open all manual fuel supply valves and check for gas
leaks using approved leak detectors.
2. Connect the heater’s electrical cord to an approved
electrical supply. The fan motor will start and the
igniter will spark.
3. Fully depress the button on the safety control valve.
The burner will light. Keep the button depressed for
about 30 seconds or until the thermocouple has
warmed up. Release the button. The burner will stay
lit.
4. Turn the adjustment valve on the heater to either
high or low heat positions as desired.
5. Do not exceed the input rating stamped on the
dataplate of the heater. Do not use an orifice size
different than specified for the input rating of this
heater, fuel type configuration and altitude.

If the heater is to be shut down after normal use, and
further use is anticipated, disconnect the heater from
its electrical supply.

If the heater will not be used until later, disconnect the
electrical supply and close all fuel supply valves to the
heater’s gas inlet.
