3 Get started
Always follow the instructions in this chapter in
sequence.
If you contact Philips, you will be asked for
the model number and serial number of this
product. The model number and serial number
are on the back of the product. Write the
numbers here:

Connect power
Caution
• Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power
supply voltage matches with the voltage printed on the
back of the product.
• Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC power
adaptor, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull
the USB cable.
• Before connecting the AC power adaptor, make sure
that you have completed all other connections.
• When you unplug the USB cable from the digital radio
or adaptor, disconnect the adaptor from the power
supply first.
• The battery contains chemical substances, so it should
be disposed of properly.
This digital radio can be powered by AC mains
or build-in battery.

Uncover the / socket on the left of
the unit.

Connect the USB cable to
• the / socket, and
• the AC power adaptor.

Connect the AC power adaptor to the
power supply.
» The digital radio begins to charge.
Note
•
To use the build-in battery as power supply, make
sure that its power is sufficient. If not, follow steps
mentioned above to charge your digital radio.
Turn on
Slide the power switch to ON.
» [Welcome to Digital Radio] (welcome
to use this digital radio) is displayed.
» The digital radio switches to the last
selected source.
• To turn it off, slide the power switch
to OFF.
