Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR. The r light
will appear on the display panel. (The r light and the Cassette-
Inside light will flash when you turn off the VCR if there is not a
tape in the VCR.) The VCR must be turned off for a timer
recording to take place. Leave the Cable Box/DBS on, if
applicable.

Press the OK/STATUS or TIMER button. PROGRAM WAS
COMPLETED/PLEASE TURN OFF VCR FOR TIMER RECORD-
ING will appear on the screen. If PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED
appears, try again from step 1.

• If the power fails, the VCR keeps
your timer recordings. However, the
time and other menu settings may be
lost if the power fails for more than
three minutes. When the power is
restored, the following will occur:
The VCR will automatically restore
the time setting if you are using
AUTO CLOCK. Auto will flash on the
display panel. When the time setting
is restored, the current time will
appear on the display panel.
After the time setting is restored,
each timer recording you have set will
occur as programmed, unless the
recording was to occur during the
power outage.
