STOP Button
Press to stop the tape. Or, if you have a Magnavox TV, press when
in TV position to move down one row or selection in the Magnavox
TV menu.
PAUSE/STILL Button
In Record mode, press to temporarily stop the recording (pause). Press
a second time to resume normal recording. Details are on page 29. You
can not pause a one touch recording that is set for a specific length of
time. During playback, press to freeze the picture (still). Press a second
time to resume normal playback. Details are on page 44.
F.FWD (Fast Forward) Button
When in Stop mode, press to fast forward the tape at high speed.
When in Play mode, press to fast forward while the picture stays on-
screen. Details are on page 44.
Or, if you have a Magnavox TV, press when in TV position to adjust
(increase) the picture controls.
CHANNEL (Up/Down) Buttons
Press to scan up or down through the VCR, TV, Cable Box, or Digital
Satellite System’s channels after the channels have been programmed.
CLEAR Button
Press to erase incorrect data when programming VCR functions.
Also, press to reset the real time counter. Details are on page 43.
VCR/TV Button
Use to select the signal that your TV receives.
VCR Position ●
Use to watch a tape, to watch a program while recording it, or to
watch a TV broadcast using the CHANNEL (Up/Down) or Number
buttons. If the VCR light appears on the display panel of the VCR,
it is in VCR position.
TV Position ●
Use to watch TV or to watch one program while recording another.
Details are on page 30. If the VCR light does not appear on the dis-
play panel of the VCR, it is in TV position.
EJECT Button
When playback is stopped, press to eject the tape.
SLOW Button
During tape playback, press to view the picture in slow motion.
CABLE/DSS Button
Press to operate the Cable Box or Digital Satellite System. Details are
on page 21.
TV Button
Press to operate the TV. Details are on page 20.
VCR Button
Press to operate the VCR.
VOLUME (Up/Down) Buttons
Press to increase or decrease the TV’s volume. (Press the TV button
first.) Details are on page 20.
MUTE Button
Press to eliminate the TV’s sound. (Press the TV button first.) Press
again to restore the volume. Details are on page 20.
