Distorted picture
• Connect the DVD Changer directly to the TV. Details are on page eight.
• There are some cases where the picture may be distorted slightly; this is not a

malfunction of the DVD Changer.

You can not change the camera angle.
• The DVD might not contain segments recorded from different camera angles. See

if multiple angles are available. Details are on page 34.

You can not change the audio or subtitle language.
• The DVD does not contain audio or subtitles in the desired language. Not all

DVDs contain audio or subtitles in multiple languages. See if other languages are
available. Details are on pages 32-33.

An “X” appears on the TV screen, preventing a feature.
• The DVD Changer can not access the current operation or it is not available on

the Disc. Details are on page five.

The DVD Changer turns off after 35 minutes.
• The DVD Changer turns off automatically if playback stops for more than 35 min-

utes and you press no buttons on the remote control or the DVD Changer.
Details are on pages 42-43.

A screen saver appears on the TV screen.
• The DVD logo will appear on the TV screen if you stop Disc playback for more

than five minutes (and you do not press any buttons on the remote control or
the DVD Changer). The DVD logo prevents damage to your TV’s picture tube. A
prolonged still image, including TV station identification logos or video games,
may damage the picture tube.

Optical cable and the OPTICAL jack
• Bending optical cable at acute angles will damage the cable. Coil cables in 6-inch

loops when storing them.

• Use cable that is 9.8 feet or shorter.
• Insert cable plugs firmly into the jacks when making connections.
• If a plug has minor scratches or is dirty, clean it with a soft cloth before inserting

it into a jack.

• Replace the protective cap on the OPTICAL jack when it is not in use.

Disc playback freezes the DVD Changer.
• This DVD Changer can play the following types of discs: DVD-Video, Video

Compact Disc (VCD), Audio Compact Disc (CD), DVD-Recordable (DVD-R),
and DVD Rewritable (DVD+RW). Attempting to play other non-compatible discs
may cause the player to “freeze.” To reset the DVD Changer and remove the
disc, press the STANDBY-ON button on the front of the DVD Player. Then
press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front of the DVD Changer to open the
disc tray.
