Answering machine settings
The Answer Machine settings menu lets you set the:
Answer Mode – set Answer & Record or Answer Only
outgoing message
Answer Delay – set the time your BT Diverse 6250
answering machine takes to take your calls
Message Alert – set an audible beep when you have new
answering machine messages
Security PIN – enables remote access to your messages
from any TouchTone™ phone, see page 71.
1. On your handset, press MENU , scroll DOWN to ANSWER
MACHINE and press OK .
2. Scroll DOWN to ANSWER SETTINGS and press OK .
3. Press LEFT or RIGHT to set the ANSWER MODE .
4. Scroll DOWN and press LEFT or RIGHT to set the
ANSWER DELAY .
5. Scroll DOWN and press LEFT or RIGHT to set the
MESSAGE ALERT .
6. Scroll DOWN and enter your 4-digit remote access
SECURITY PIN .
7. Press SAVE .
