Child lock activated
q Temporarily deactivate the child lock.
See Page 23.

If the Start/Pause indicator light flashes
(yellow), the door cannot be opened for
reasons of safety (water level, temperature or
speed too high).
In the display it successively is indicated:
Pause",
Door cannot be opened".

If the Start/Pause indicator light flashes (red),
the laundry can be topped up or removed
prematurely.
In the display it successively is indicated:
Pause",
Door can be opened".
q Open the loading door.
q Put in/remove the laundry.
q Close the loading door.
q Press the Start/Pause button.
Program continues.
Child lock is reĆactivated.
The indicator light shines (yellow).
Canceling active program
If you would like to terminate a program and
remove the laundry:
q If the child lock is active, temporarily deactivate;
see Page 23.
q Turn the program selector to Drain or Spin.

If a program is interrupted at a high temperaĆ
ture, leave the laundry to cool down until glass
is not hot to the touch.
q Press the Start/Pause button.
q Wait until the program ends.
q If the child lock is active, deactivate again
temporarily; see Page 23.
q Open the loading door.
q Unload the laundry.

If a program is interrupted at a high
temperature, the door may remain locked
until the appliance has cooled down.
i
If the program is terminated by switching off the
appliance, the door may remain locked.
Soaking
The Soak setting is used to preĆtreat heavily
stained items:
q Load laundry of the same color.
q Add the soaking agent to chamber I according
to the manufacturers specifications.
q Turn the program selector to Soak.
The Start/Pause indicator light flashes (red).
q Press the Start/Pause button.
The program starts.
The indicator light shines (red).

The soak cycle lasts 2 hours with the temperaĆ
ture held at 95 °F/32
°
C . It is ended with a short
spin cycle. All the water is pumped out.
Bleaching
WARNING
DO NOT use liquid chlorine bleach in this
machine. A powder oxygen based bleach or
nonĆchlorinated based products are acceptable.
Decolorizing
CAUTION
Decolorants may contain sulphur or chlorine.
These substances can cause parts of the washĆ
ing machine to corrode. Do not decolorize items
of laundry in the washing machine.
