Confirming Traffic Information Ahead on the Set Route
You can check the traffic information along the route received by the main unit or search for a
new route based on the traffic information.
■Avoiding traffic ahead on the set route
In the default setting of the Navigation System, if “Auto Traffic Reroute ” is set ON, this
device automatically calculates a detour route when there is a traffic jam along the route
being guided (within 1 km ahead for general road, and within 2.6 km (1.8 mile) ahead for
motorway).
Then the following display appears.
On this display, you can select the following items:

After the screen to select new or old route is displayed, if you keep driving without select-
ing any of them, current route guidance for the original route is performed in the same way
as when selecting “Current Route”.

the Default Settings” on page 91.
If the route avoiding the traffic jam is not found
The message notifying it appears.
On this display, you can select the following items:

If you do nothing and continue driving after the message informing you that the route can-
not avoid the traffic jam is displayed, the message disappears and returns to the map
screen, while a route guidance is continued.
New Route :
A new route appears on the screen. If you click the OK button, the mes-
sage disappears. Changing to a new route, then performs a route guid-
ance.
Current Route : The current route appears on the screen. If you click the OK button, the
message disappears, and returns to the map screen, while route guidance
is continued.
Traffic List :
List of traffic information is displayed.
Traffic List : List of traffic information is displayed.
OK :
Message disappears, and returns to the map screen, while route guidance is
continued.
The Route currently selected
(“Current Route” or “New Route”)
Distance from the current position of your vehicle to
the point to enter into the new route.
Difference of distance and travel time
(Only when selecting “New Route”)
