While the recorder is in stop mode,
press the
F3
( OVER DUB ) button.
• If the Mode dial is set to [
QUICK ], recording
and playback will start simultaneously.
Proceed to Step 7.
• If the Mode dial is set to [
MANUAL ],
playback will start first.

Connect earphones to the
EAR
jack
of the recorder.
• The file to be dubbed over will be played
back through the
EAR jack.
Using the overdubbing function
The overdubbing function enables you to dub sound
over a file while listening to it. The recorded file is
saved under a different name. This is useful when
practicing songwriting and musical instruments.

When using the overdubbing function, the following
conditions must be met:
• Select a (.wav) file with the format
[
PCM 44.1kHz/16bit ] as the file to be played
(
☞ P.25, P.60).
•
Set [
Rec Format ] to [ PCM 44.1kHz/16bit ](
☞ P.66).

Switch the Mode dial to the [
QUICK ]
or [
MANUAL ] position (
☞ P.28, P.30).
•
This function is not enabled when the Mode
dial is set to [ SMART ].
