Recording sound when shooting still
images [

OFF
No sound is recorded.
ON
The camera automatically starts
recording for approx. 4 seconds
after taking the picture. This is
useful for recording notes or
comments about the picture.
When recording, aim the microphone (p. 6)
at the source of the sound you want to
record.
The sound recorded with the still images
cannot be played back on this camera.
To listen to the sound, connect to a TV or PC.
Creating panoramic images [PANORAMA]

Panorama shooting lets you create a panoramic picture, using the OLYMPUS Master 2 software
on the provided CD-ROM.
The focus, exposure (p. 21), zoom position (p. 20), and [WB] (p. 25) are locked at the fi rst frame.
The fl ash (p. 20) is fi xed at
$ (FLASH OFF) mode.

Use
abcd to select the direction that the frames are combined.

Press the shutter button to take the fi rst frame, and then compose the second shot.
Compose the shot using the guide frame so that the two adjacent frames overlap.

Repeat Step 2 until the number of required frames are taken, and then press the
o button
when done.
When the
g mark is displayed, you cannot continue shooting any further. Panorama shooting is
possible for up to 10 frames.
Refer to the OLYMPUS Master 2 help guide for details on how to make panorama images.

While recording a movie with sound, only
digital zoom is available. To use the optical
zoom, set [R] (movies) to [OFF].
The sound recorded with the movies cannot
be played back on this camera.
