LOADING THE BATTERIES
This camera uses 2 AAA-size alkaline 1.5 V batteries.
Power shutdown
This camera automatically turns off after approximately 4 minutes
to conserve the batteries. To awaken the camera, slide the
LENS -
COVER SWITCH (6) to off and back to on.
• Close the lens cover when the camera is not in use to further
extend the batteries’ life.
Battery tips
• Dispose of batteries according to local and national regulations.
• Keep spare batteries with you at all times.
• Read and follow all warnings and instructions supplied by
the battery manufacturer.
• Keep batteries away from children.
• Do not try to take apart, recharge or short circuit the batteries, or
subject them to high temperature or fire.
• Store batteries in their original packaging prior to use.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Replace both batteries at the same time with the same brand
and alkaline type.

LOADING THE FILM
For excellent all-around results for indoor and outdoor picture-
taking, use ISO 400-speed film. For use in bright daylight, you
can use ISO 100- or ISO 200-speed film. If in sunlight, turn your
back to the sun and load the film in the shade of your body. The
unique Easyload feature of this camera makes film loading simple.
1. Slide the
FILM - DOOR LATCH (8) to open
the FILM DOOR (16).
• Load film into the camera with the
lens cover opened or closed.
2. Place the film cartridge completely into the
FILM CHAMBER (15).
3. Insert the film leader into the film slot between the
FILM - GUIDE RAILS (14).
NOTE: You should be able to use the film just as it comes
out of the film carton without pulling additional film out of
the cartridge.
5. Close the film door and check
the FILM WINDOW (17).
• The film window displays the
film information, and the FILM -
PRESENCE INDICATOR (11)
turns amber to indicate there
is film in the camera.
TAKING PICTURES
This camera features a flash that, when the flash-ready light
glows, will fire
every time you take a picture. This all-the-time flash
feature provides brighter pictures by acting as a fill flash in hazy
outdoor pictures or in bright-light conditions where shadows
may exist.
1. Slide the
LENS - COVER SWITCH (6) completely open to
uncover the LENS (5) and to turn on the camera.
2. For a sharp picture, stand at least
4 ft (1.2 m) from your subject.
• The flash-recycle time is
approximately 6 seconds
with fresh batteries.
3. Look through the VIEWFINDER
EYEPIECE (9) to see your subject.
4. Hold the camera steady and gently
press the SHUTTER BUTTON (1)
to take the picture.
• After you take the picture, the film
advances to the next picture.
5. Close the lens cover when you
are done taking pictures.

Tips for better pictures
• To avoid blurry pictures, hold your camera steady by keeping your
elbows close to your body when you press the shutter button.
• Stand close enough to your subject so that it fills the viewfinder but
not closer than 4 ft (1.2 m).
• Take pictures at the subject’s level. Kneel down to take pictures of
children and pets.
• Hold your camera vertically with the flash positioned upward to
capture tall, narrow subjects, such as a waterfall, skyscraper,
or a person.
• Add interest to your picture by framing it with a tree branch,
a window, or even the rails of a fence.
• Keep the sun behind you to provide the best subject illumination.
• Keep your hand, fingers, or objects away from the flash and lens.
• Stand at an angle to shiny surfaces like windows or mirrors to avoid
flash reflection and bright spots in your pictures.
TAKING FLASH PICTURES
In dim light, such as indoors or outdoors in heavy shade, or on
dark overcast days, you need flash. This camera simplifies your
picture-taking because the flash fires
every time you take a picture.
1. Slide the LENS - COVER SWITCH (6) completely open to uncover
the LENS (5) and to turn on the camera.
2. Wait for the FLASH - READY LIGHT (10) to glow.
3. Keep the subject within the distance
range for the speed of the film.
• Don’t take pictures beyond the maximum
distance or your pictures will be dark.
4. Hold the camera steady and gently press the SHUTTER
BUTTON (1) to take the picture.
• To prevent battery drain, turn off the flash by closing the
lens cover when you are done taking pictures.
UNLOADING THE FILM
The film will not advance when you reach the end of the roll. You must re-
wind the film before you open the film door or you will ruin the film.
1. Slide the
FILM - REWIND SWITCH (12) until it latches to start the
motorized film rewind.
• Wait until the motor stops
before you open the film door.
2. Slide the FILM - DOOR LATCH (8)
to open the FILM DOOR (16).
3. Remove the film and reload with fresh KODAK Film.
Using mid-roll rewind
If you do not want to use the entire roll of film, you
can rewind the film in mid-roll by following steps 1–3 of
UNLOADING THE FILM.
NOTE: You cannot reload partially exposed film into the camera
and continue to take pictures.

ATTACHING THE STRAP
1. Thread the strap’s shorter looped end under the STRAP POST (7).
2. Pull the longer end through the shorter loop and pull it tight.

2. Replace the batteries with fresh
batteries when the FLASH - READY
LIGHT (10) takes longer than
30 seconds to turn on.

• If the lens cover is already opened,
the film advance starts automatically.
• The PICTURE COUNTER (2) advances
to frame “1.” Beginning at frame 4,
every fourth exposure is numbered.

Never wipe a dry lens.
CAUTION: Use solvents or solutions designed for cleaning camera
lenses. Do not use chemically treated tissues intended for cleaning
eyeglasses.
• Remove the batteries when you store the camera for an
extended time.
CAUTION: To prevent possible damage and electrical shock, do not
attempt to disassemble or repair the camera or flash unit by yourself.
CARING FOR YOUR CAMERA
Para obtener excelentes resultados al tomar fotografías lo mismo
bajo la luz solar como en interiores, use película con la sensibilidad

Apagado automático
