Scene modes
Use this
mode For
Night
General picture taking in night scenes or low-light conditions.
Captures both subject and background.
Night
Portrait
Reducing red-eye in pictures of people in night scenes or
low-light conditions. Place the camera on a flat, steady surface
or use a tripod. Due to slow shutter speeds, advise people to
stay still for a few seconds after flash fires.
Sport
Subjects in motion. Fast shutter speed stops the action.
Landscape Distant subjects. Flash does not fire unless you turn it on. Fixed
focus is set to infinity.
Snow
Bright snow scenes. Exposure compensation is set to -2 EV to
prevent a washed-out, overexposed image.
Beach
Bright beach scenes. Exposure compensation is set to -2 EV to
prevent a washed-out, overexposed image.
Party
Indoor pictures of people. Prevents red eye.
Self
Portrait
Close-up of yourself. Assures proper focus and prevents red eye.
Manner/
Museum
Quiet occasions, like a wedding or lecture. Flash and sound are
disabled.
1. Rotate the jog dial to SCN mode, then press.
SCN mode
2. Press to scroll to a Scene mode.
NOTE: To change Scene modes, press the jog dial and again.
