Troubleshooting
Flash does not fire ■ Check the flash setting, and change as needed ( see page 16 ).
NOTE: The flash does not fire in all modes.
Memory card is almost
or entirely full ■ Transfer the pictures to the computer ( see page 49 ).
■ Delete pictures from the card ( see page 25 ) or insert a new card.
The Reset Camera
feature did not take
effect. ■ After using the Reset Camera feature ( see page 47 ), turn the
camera off and then on again.
Battery life is short ■ Make sure the correct battery type is installed ( see page 61 ).
■ Charge the battery ( see page 2 ).
■ Use a power-saving LCD Brightness setting ( see page 47 ).
Shutter button does
not work. ■ Turn on the camera ( see page 5 ).
■ Transfer pictures to the computer ( see page 49 ), delete pictures
from the camera ( see page 25 ), or insert a card with available
memory ( see page 7 ).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card ■ Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera ( see
page 48 ).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and
videos, including protected files.
■ Use another memory card. Only MICROSD/SDHC Cards are
supported.
Pictures on card (or in
internal memory) are
corrupted ■ Retake pictures.
■ Do not remove card while the camera is on.
■ Keep the rechargeable battery charged.
■ Transfer pictures to the computer ( see page 49 ), then format the
card or internal memory ( see page 48 ).
