12 Trouble-Shooting

If the Air Conditioner should require service, we have compiled a trouble-shooting chart to assist your
service personnel. If additional assistance is required please contact Pfannenberg Inc.

Unit not cooling

No Power

Check Power Source and
Electrical Connections

Loss of Refrigerant

Locate and repair leak

Evaporator or Condenser Fan
not operating

Replace motor, Capacitor or
entire Assembly

Filter clogged

Clean or replace Filter

Dirty Evaporator or Condenser

Clean Device

Thermostat improperly set

Lower setting until unit starts

Thermostat defective

Replace Thermostat or Relay

Failed Compressor

Replaced Compressor

Ice on Evaporator Coil

Insufficent Heat Load or Unit
Oversized for Application
