7. Maintenance and cleaning
7.1 Maintenance
The machine glass thermometers do not require maintenance.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
7.2 Cleaning
CAUTION!
■ Prior to cleaning, disconnect the instrument from the
measuring point.
■ Clean the instrument with a dry or moist cloth.
■ Do not use sharp objects or aggressive cleaning agents
for cleaning.
■ Wash or clean the dismounted instrument before retur-
ning it, in order to protect personnel and the environment
from exposure to residual media.
■ Residual media in dismounted instruments can result in
a risk to persons, the environment and equipment. Take
sufficient precautionary measures.

"8.2 Returns".
WARNING!
Do not hose down with water! Make sure that water does
not get into the thermowell stem, since either the glass
insert or the thermowell stem might be damaged at tempe-
ratures below 0 °C.
