The DOCTER
®
sport 3-9x40 and 3-10x40 are compact, high quality, universal rifle scopes
perfectly suited for all hunting conditions.
The DOCTER
®
sport 4.5 - 14 x 40 is a high quality model with parallax compensation,
combining the advantages of a highly magnifying rifle scope and a compact design.
The DOCTER
®
sport 8 - 25 x 50 model is a highly magnifying model with parallax
compensation that offers a high light intensity and is well suited for extreme distances.
Mounting
The DOCTER
®
sport rifle scopes all use a standardised centre tube diameter (1) of one inch,
making them suitable for all types of mountings where the tube is retained by clamping rings.
These scopes also offer a large axial mounting range, which means most standard ring and
base combinations may be used.
It will be most expedient to have your gunsmith procure and/or carry out the mounting that
suits your particular needs.
Zeroing / Adjustment of graticule
Our rifle scopes give the experienced marksman the possibility of correcting the hit point
position according to the respective hunting conditions or kind of ammunition by means of
their double adjustment of the graticule (7) (vertical and lateral adjustment).
The special design of the reversal system allows for optical compensation for graticule
displacement in the telescopic image. The graticule thus always appears in the centre of the
field of view, even after subsequent correction of the hit point position. The twistable
graduated disks (8) for retrieving the zero point make an accurately reproducible correction of
the hit point position possible.
To adjust the graticule, the two protective caps are unscrewed from the domes of the
graticule adjustment unit, revealing the setting screws. Turning the setting screws (9) is easily
done by using a coin or screwdriver blade. Turning these screws changes the hit point
position. The upper dome controls the vertical adjustment; the lateral dome controls the
horizontal adjustment of the hit point. To facilitate graticule adjustment, we offer target turrets
(10) with an easily readable scale as supplementary equipment (see accessories section).
Vertical (elevation) adjustment
Turning the setting screw (9) in the direction of arrow “D“ (down) causes the hit point to be
moved downwards. Turning the setting screw in the direction of arrow “U“ (up) will move the
hit point upwards.
Horizontal (windage) adjustment
By turning the setting screw (9) in the direction of arrow “R“ (right), the hit point is shifted to
the right. Turning the screw in the direction of arrow “L“ (left) moves the hit point to the left.
You will find the adjustment values for vertical and lateral adjustment in the table „Technical
data DOCTER
®
sport“
The adjustment has a square and uncoupled adjustment range. The end of the adjustment
range can be sensed by stoppers. Please note that the graticule remains in the centre of the
image and the adjustments effect a displacement of the image detail. Once zeroing has been
completed, the index (11) of the graduated disc can be set to zero. To do so, use a pin or
screwdriver and turn the slot of the graduated disc to the required position.
