b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any
power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must
be repaired
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack
from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow
persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate
the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the
power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with
these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the
work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from
those intended could result in a hazardous situation
Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained
Wet & Dry Vacuum Safety
Remove the mains plug from the socket:
• before opening the unit
• before cleaning and maintenance
• when the unit is not in use
Cleaning the vacuum
Do not clean with solvents
Care of the mains lead
• Do not pull, or stretch the lead from the power point
• Do not allow the vacuum to pass over the mains lead as this could cause
damage to the internal wires
• Do not vacuum: burning matches, glowing ashes and cigarette ends,
flammable, corrosive, fire hazard or explosive substances
• Use this product only for the purposes for which it is intended
• Take great care when cleaning stairs. Ensure the vacuum is placed on a secure,
lower level, to avoid the danger of the vacuum falling onto the user
• Use only manufacturer’s attachments and spare parts
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its
features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts
are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use
this tool
Assembly
1. Ensure the mains plug is disconnected
2. Undo Clasps (x 2) (5)
3. Lift off the Power Unit (22) and set aside carefully
4. Remove contents of Waste Container (6)
5. Turn the waste container upside down, on a firm flat surface
6. Slide Wheels (x 4) (16) into plastic base and secure with Screws (11) as
shown in Fig. A
7. Once all four Wheels (16) are secure, turn the vacuum upright
8. Attach the Suction Hose (18) by screwing the larger end onto the Inlet
Coupling (19)
9. Now connect the required accessories:- For floor cleaning use Hand Grip
(2), Extending Tube (4) and Floor Brush (8). For other tasks a combination of
accessories can be used, such as the Crevice Nozzle (12)
For wet vacuum cleaning
• Fit the Foam Filter (10): Slide it gently over the Filter Frame (21) as shown in
Fig. C
For dry vacuum cleaning
• Fit the Fabric Filter (15) over the Filter Frame (21) as shown in Fig. B
Or
1. Fit the Waste Bag (14) over the Inlet Coupling (19) as shown in Fig. D
2. Replace the Power Unit (22) on top of the Waste Container (6)
3. Make sure the Power Take Off Socket (24) is directly above the inlet coupling
(19)
