1. The keyless transmitter requires replacement if one of the
following situations occurs while testing:
• Some of the keyless transmitter function buttons operate
properly and some do not.
• None of the keyless transmitter function buttons operate
properly and the transmitter batteries are good.
2. The vehicle receiver needs to be checked if the following
situation occurs while testing the keyless transmitter:
• All of the keyless transmitter function buttons operate
properly and the transmitter in question is the correct model
programmed properly for the vehicle.
Intermittent failures may be checked if the Santronics Keyless Entry
Tester is used while the operator is standing at the vehicle.
1. The vehicle has an intermittent condition if the following
situation occurs while testing the keyless transmitter:
• The keyless transmitter operates properly, but the
vehicle response is intermittent.
2. The keyless transmitter has an intermittent condition if the
following situation occurs while testing the keyless
transmitter:

The keyless transmitter function buttons operate
intermittently and the vehicle response is intermittent.
SITUATIONS
